Application Prognos’ Building model (household) calculates energy consumption and CO2 emissions for individual models and or types of building. By varying input parameters, the influence of different renovation standards of components – the choice of heat generator and equipping with building technology (e. g., solar thermal systems, ventilation systems) – on the energy consumption for space heating and hot water can be calculated. Model core Heat demand (useful energy) and energy consumption (final energy) for the provision of space heat and hot water are modelled for individual model buildings. Energy consumption calculation is based on DIN V 18599. Transmission and ventilation heat losses, solar and internal heat gains are taken into account. Consumption information is generated at monthly and annual level.
