Application DINOS (Dynamic Input Output System) is Prognos’ global industry model. At its centre is a multi-regional input-output table for 44 countries and up to 163 industries. DINOS enables the creation of scenarios and forecasts where processes at industry level are the focus. Model core DINOS maps the complete economic cycle of origin, distribution, and use, differentiated according to sector. Central economic variables such as wage and price dynamics, technological progress, and demand for labour and capital, are modelled at individual sector level. In addition, the structures of the multi-regional input-output table change in the simulation period depending on price and cost ratios, demographic factors, and temporal trends.
