The energy transition goes hand in hand with the expansion of the electricity grid. The energy transition can only succeed if the electricity generated from renewable energy sources reaches where it is needed. This responsibility lies with the transmission and distribution system operators, who, on the one hand, have to coordinate their projects with politicians, the state and the administration, while, on the other hand, always ensuring the participation of local residents. Therefore, transparent project communication that involves stakeholders at a low threshold and answers questions before they are asked is crucial for the implementation of such large grid expansion projects. The faster projects are approved, the faster the grid expansion will progress.Expertise and experiencePrognos has been supporting transmission and distribution system operators in the planning and implementation communication of various high-voltage and extra-high-voltage line construction projects for around 20 years. Our strengths include project management and project communication as well as approval management during the regional planning, federal sector planning or plan approval procedures up to commissioning.Dialogue creates acceptancePrognos is committed to bringing the relevant stakeholders together in a dialogue about the expansion of the electricity grid. Together with the grid operators, we have implemented and supported the exchange between citizens, local politicians, environmental and agricultural associations in more than 50 projects from the Danish border to the High Rhine in Baden-Württemberg since 2004. This enabled questions, comments and open issues to be clarified at an early stage, preventing uncertainties or misunderstandings. We are currently supporting more than 15 projects at the highest and highest voltage levels. We are convinced that dialogue creates acceptance for the necessary grid expansion and thus advances the energy transition. Do you have questions?
